The Twelve Taps is hosting a charity gin night on Thursday 7th September, to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust .
We are teaming up with the wonderful Greensand Ridge distillery to offer an evening of gin appreciation in the name of a good cause. Will Edge, the owner and head distiller at Greensand Ridge will be there to talk gin and mix some special recipe G&Ts, and we will be holding a raffle for some properly decent prizes – we’re not talking a tin of Spam here – we’re talking gin, and distillery tours. Yes.
This is not a ticketed event, it’s open door, but all of the money raised from the drinks and the raffle will go directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust – which does incredibly important work in scientific research and care for people with CF. We have a family member who has CF and so we know all too well how this condition can make life really quite challenging and just how important the work of the CF Trust is in trying to develop new treatments.
Our Libby is doing her bit by running the Faversham 10k on September 17th also to raise funds for the CF Trust. She has never run before and she does not enjoy it. You could also argue she is not that good at it, but she is doing her very best, it just ain’t pretty.
So if you want to show some support, you can sponsor her here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/libby-waltshaw it will make her laboured attempts at running up and down the Tankerton slopes that bit more bearable.
